Porsche Passion marks its Presence at 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed

GOODWOOD, U.K. (July 11, 2025) – Visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed (11 – 14 July) are enjoying another stellar celebration of motoring and motor sport at the ultimate automotive garden party.

Throughout the four-day festival dedicated to car culture and motorsport, Porsche is exhibiting its latest models with the support of a star-studded cast of personalities whose individual passion, ambition, and dreams mirror that of the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer.

Porsche power on the Hill
With the theme of this year’s event in mind, The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers, it is fitting that the latest generation of the motorsport-inspired 911 GT3 is making it Goodwood debut. The 911 GT3 has offered the ultimate balance of circuit to street usability since its introduction in 1999. The latest iteration, unveiled last autumn, is offered both as a track-focused sports car with a fixed rear wing and in the more understated Touring package configuration.

The 911 GT3 with Touring package not only forgoes the rear spoiler, but for the first time offers rear seats as a no-cost option, allowing the everyday sports car to be adapted even more individually to the preferences of the customer – and their family.

Also in attendance is the 911 GT3 RS with Manthey Kit, whose factory-approved package further optimises the aerodynamic performance and chassis dynamics for which the GT cars are renowned – pushing the boundaries in pursuit of the fastest lap times.

The 911 GT3 RS is uncompromisingly designed for maximum performance, and the Manthey Kit clearly underlines these intentions. The GT3 RS takes full advantage of technology and concepts from motorsport, from its high-revving naturally aspirated engine producing 525 PS to its intelligent lightweight construction. But it’s the cooling and the aerodynamic features – especially the distinctive rear wing and its drag reduction system – that connect the GT3 RS most directly to its racing sibling, the 911 GT3 R.

Timed Shootout: Iron Dames 911 GT3 R
The 911 GT3 R is also in action, in the hands of the successful Iron Dames x Porsche racing team. The Iron Dames returned to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the seventh consecutive year in June, writing yet another chapter in their trailblazing story as the only all-female line-up among the 62 teams entered in the world’s most iconic endurance race. Sarah Bovy is driving the 565 PS rear-engined 911 GT3 R in the Timed Shootout, supported by Porsche Carrera Cup France Junior Karen Gaillard.

Joining the Iron Dames car is the ‘Type 992’ 911 GT3 Cup Car, as is used in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship. Its driver for the weekend is Porsche Carrera Cup GB’s own Junior, James Wallis (GB), who is following tradition by taking part in the annual Timed Shootout on the Hill.

Prototype of the Cayenne Electric
Porsche Formula E development driver Gabriela Jílková is behind the wheel of a camouflaged Porsche Cayenne prototype.

Also drawing the attention of the crowds is the stunning Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package, which, with up to 1,034 PS (Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package: Electric power consumption* combined (WLTP) 20.8 – 20.6 kWh/100 km, CO₂ emissions* combined (WLTP) 0 g/km, CO₂ class A ) on tap from its electric motors, is the most powerful production Porsche ever.

Goodwood – an overview
The famous 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill is the main focal point for the thrilling on-track displays of cars spanning from the dawn of motoring right up to the present day. While these dramatic demonstrations are always a highlight of the annual event, enthusiasts can find many other Porsche touchpoints throughout the Festival of Speed.

Beyond the collection of iconic road and racing cars in the Ballroom Paddock, Supercar Run and First Glance that are running up the Hill, the House of Porsche, located by the hillclimb course on the outside of Molecomb Corner, is the brand’s primary hub at the festival.

Here, visitors are invited to see the latest highlights from the current model range and to explore the ever-growing offerings from Porsche Classic. Chief among the vehicles on display is the alluring 911 Spirit 70 Edition, a special series of the iconic sports car – based on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet – created by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur department, incorporating subtle styling cues of the 1970s and early 1980s.

House of Porsche and Porsche Café Le Mans
The House of Porsche is also the prime destination to shop for the latest merchandise, with a range of collections, as well as Porsche Design Timepieces that can be personalised to match the design of our cars, taking inspiration from the vehicle to create a ‘sports car for the wrist.’ A café and extensive seating areas provide the perfect environment to relax and take in the event – with an enormous screen displaying all the action from the Goodwood Hill. There’s also an area for children, featuring some fantastic free activities.

For visitors wishing to refuel themselves, the Porsche Café Le Mans is once more situated to the west of the track, near the footbridge, with the opportunity to pre-book for dining throughout the weekend. But there is also a unique highlight to admire here, marking an extra special Goodwood debut …

The 963 RSP and ‘Count Rossi’ 917 on display
Fresh from its grand reveal before the 24 Hours of Le Mans last month, the one-off Porsche 963 RSP – a sister to the 963 Hypercar – is on display at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Based on the 963 endurance race winner and featuring unique Sonderwunsch (‘special request’) modifications, this very special car is powered by a 4.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that produces approximately 680 PS.

Developed in partnership with motorsport legend Roger Penske, whose initials form the name of the car, the 963 RSP closely follows the design direction taken by another very special Porsche that first took to the road 50 years ago – 917 chassis 30, also known as the ‘Count Rossi’ 917.

An extreme one-off based on the 2024 World Endurance Championship-winning machine with unique bodywork and interior upholstery, the 963 RSP is the result of the work of a joint team from Porsche AG, Porsche Penske Motorsport and Porsche Cars North America. The Sonderwunsch team in Zuffenhausen translated the idea from dream to reality, in collaboration with colleagues at Porsche Classic in Atlanta.

Porsche Club GB celebrates passion of community
The Porsche Club GB, which is the second largest Porsche Club in the world, is also being celebrated at Goodwood, with a parking area beside the House of Porsche reserved especially for members – up to 250 of whom are proudly displaying their cars over the weekend.

The first Porsche Club was founded in Germany in 1952 and the network has since grown to cover more than 700 Clubs worldwide, involving more than 240,000 members in 86 countries.

New Bentley Bentayga Speed sets a Goodwood Hillclimb Record

CREWE/GOODWOOD, U.K. (June 11, 2025) – The new Bentayga Speed has proven its credentials as the most powerful and most dynamic Bentley SUV yet by setting a new record at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Despite partially wet conditions last Sunday, ahead of the opening of the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 650 PS Bentayga Speed completed the hill run in 55.8 seconds, officially becoming the fastest ICE-powered production SUV ever to tackle the Goodwood hill. The time beats that of the previous W12-powered Bentayga Speed – which was set in the dry – by almost a second, proving the abilities of the car’s new and advanced chassis and powertrain. Not only that, it beats the official times recorded by all other ICE production SUVs ever to run at Goodwood. In fact, the only gasoline SUV to ever go quicker was Bentley’s own Pikes Peak Bentayga, which was a one-off specially modified for the purpose.

The Bentayga Speed’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine produces 650 PS and 850 Nm of torque, accelerating the car to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 193mph (310km/h)*. The new Bentayga Speed also features significant advances in dynamic capability – with an enhanced SPORT chassis mode and a new ESC Dynamic setting that brings maximum driver involvement and the choice between enhanced road-holding or the ability to slide the car on-power. The emphasis was very much on the former during the car’s record run, driven by Bentley colleague Andy Marson – a vehicle dynamics specialist and the marque’s most experienced Goodwood driver.

Despite the second half of the course being wet thanks to pre-run rainfall, Marson set a new benchmark time for an SUV, with a committed run that saw a peak speed of 130 mph before braking for Molecomb.

The new Bentayga Speed
The Bentayga Speed’s new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine delivers exceptional performance, with peak power of 650 PS / 641 bhp / 478 kW and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds. These figures comprehensively surpass those of the Bentayga V8 S (4.4 seconds) as well as the 3.9 second mark set by the previous W12-engined Bentayga Speed. Peak torque of 850 Nm (627 lb.ft) is delivered between 2,250-4,500 rpm, with the characteristic Bentley “torque plateau” delivering the effortless wave of acceleration that’s a constant of Bentley performance.

The engine isn’t just more powerful than its predecessors – it’s also more characterful. As standard the Bentayga Speed is fitted with a Sports exhaust system, which delivers a rich, powerful engine note that complements the eager character of the High Powered V8 and promotes a deep sense of driver engagement. This exhaust can be distinguished externally by two elliptical tailpipes emerging through the rear diffuser. For an even more thrilling soundtrack, the optional Titanium Akrapovic Exhaust accentuates the power, drama and potency of the V8, with its aural expression of the performance that awaits at the merest flex of the throttle. This system features quad tailpipes.

Of the three driving modes available to drivers of the new Bentayga Speed, both COMFORT and BENTLEY modes remain unchanged in calibration compared with other Bentayga models, to retain exceptional day-to-day and grand touring competency. SPORT mode however is significantly enhanced, delivering increased steering response, roadholding and driver connection, enhanced by a 15% increase in suspension damping stiffness. Enhanced SPORT mode enables the driver to exploit the power of the V8 engine more fully when cornering and to experience the exceptionally agile turn-in capabilities of brake torque vectoring.

For the ultimate in braking capability and driver engagement, optional carbon ceramic brakes allow the selection of ESC Dynamic in SPORT mode, which relaxes ESC intervention to permit exhilarating drift angles or power-on oversteer where appropriate. Torque vectoring by brake allows for a sharper turn-in, and more power to be put to the road during corner exit – with improved driver confidence going hand-in-hand with the extra agility. Also included in ESC Dynamic programing is Launch Control, a first for any Bentayga model.

The Bentayga Speed now includes all-wheel steering. At low and medium speeds, the rear wheels are steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels to aid a rapid change of direction, noticeably increasing the feeling of agility and reducing the turning circle. The steering feels sharper, and a commensurate increase in steering feel provides greater driver confidence. At high speeds, the rear wheels steer in the same direction as the front, to improve stability.

Taken together, the new SPORT mode enhancements, optional carbon ceramic brakes, ESC Dynamic software and all-wheel steering set new levels of agility, roadholding and driver engagement. As the performance flagship of the line-up, Bentayga Speed simply recalibrates all one’s expectations of handling, roadholding, acceleration and steering response for a luxury SUV.

Distinctive exterior features of the new Bentayga Speed include dark tint brightware, bright chrome Speed badges on the leading edge of the front doors, and 22” Speed wheels in either dark tint or silver (the latter being a no cost option). Unique Speed headlamps feature dark tint internals and a dark tint bezel, while tail lamps are gray, again with a dark tint bezel. For the first time in Bentley’s history, a 23” Speed wheel is optionally available when carbon ceramic brakes are specified, and these come in a choice of gray satin, black or black and bright machined finishes. Painted calipers in a choice of seven striking colors are also available standard brakes and when choosing the carbon ceramic brake option.

The VinFast VF 9 Becomes Uncompromising Comfort for the Modern Family

IRVINE, Calif. (July 10, 2025) – |PRNewswire| In the American car market, full-size SUVs have long played a familiar role: the go-to choice for families needing room to stretch out, technology to stay connected, and durability to match the pace of modern life.

For decades, these vehicles have accompanied families across state lines, through national parks, and on daily school runs. As driving needs evolved, expectations did too. Increasingly, drivers are seeking electric alternatives without giving up the space, comfort, and reliability they’ve come to expect from traditional gas-powered models.

VinFast, a Vietnamese automaker with global ambitions, has taken note.

At a time when large electric SUVs remain scarce and customer trust in EV technology is still building, the company introduced the VF 9, a full-size electric SUV aimed squarely at the heart of American family life. With an expansive cabin, advanced safety features, and a 10-year vehicle and battery warranty, the VF 9 attempts to address one of the most underdeveloped segments of the electric vehicle market.

Market research helps explain the strategy. In a recent CarGurus survey, 62 percent of parents said their current vehicle didn’t offer enough space. Among sedan owners, more than one in five said their car no longer met the needs of family life, compared to just 7 percent of SUV owners. Additional data from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found that 93 percent of respondents named reliability as a key consideration when choosing a vehicle, and 86 percent pointed to safety.

Together, the numbers form a clear narrative: drivers are seeking room, peace of mind, and long-term value in their next car, particularly those navigating life with children in tow.

A new vision of family comfort and capability
Designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the VF 9 makes a strong first impression. At over 201 inches in length, with a wheelbase exceeding 123 inches, the SUV offers proportions that easily accommodate three rows of seating.

Upon entering the cabin, occupants are greeted by an immediate sense of spaciousness and contemporary design, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. As a premium electric SUV, the VF 9 features three rows of seating, comfortably accommodating seven passengers with generous legroom.

The interior is further elevated by premium vegan leather, offering both comfort and eco-consciousness, while dynamic interior lighting allows for personalized ambiance to match any mood.

Notably, a panoramic glass sunroof opens up the cabin, fostering a sense of expansive connection with the outside world on every journey.

Performance-wise, the VF 9 is equipped with a standard AWD electric drivetrain powered by two motors, generating a maximum output of 402 horsepower. This robust power enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 6.6 seconds.

With an available battery capacity of 123 kWh, the VF 9 offers extensive range, with EPA-estimated ranges of 330 miles (approximately 531 km) for the VF 9 Eco and 291 miles (approximately 468 km) for the VF 9 Plus.

Technology that learns, and safety that anticipates
Integrated seamlessly, the VF 9’s intelligent technology keeps the vehicle at the forefront of innovation. Over-the-air (OTA) updates enable the car to be “future-modernized” through regular automatic or manual updates to its operating system, applications, and core systems.

Furthermore, the convenient VinFast App provides customers with remote access to vehicle data and controls, navigation features, service scheduling, and roadside assistance.

Safety remains a paramount concern for the VF 9, engineered to protect its occupants with a comprehensive suite of smart features. The ADAS, including highway driving assist, cruise assist, collision mitigation, blind-spot detection utilizing radar sensors, and automatic emergency braking, all work in concert to enhance safety for the driver, passengers, and other road users.

An advanced digital security system can alert emergency services in the event of an accident, while a heads-up display helps drivers keep their eyes on the road. An emergency SOS button provides direct contact with rescue teams, and with 11 airbags, including dual-stage front airbags, knee airbags, side impact airbags, curtain airbags, and seat-mounted airbags, comprehensive protection is assured.

Beyond its compelling features, the VinFast VF 9 is supported by exceptional after-sales services, highlighted by a 10-year or 125,000-mile vehicle warranty and a 10-year or unlimited-mile battery warranty (applicable for standard/non-commercial use). This commitment provides a “safety net,” particularly crucial with new technologies and potential battery replacement costs. For the month of July, 2025 the VF 9 is currently available to qualified lessees at $449/ month with zero down for 24 months*.

The VF 9 doesn’t try to reinvent the idea of a family SUV. Instead, it refines it for an electric future – retaining the scale and practicality that American families demand, while introducing thoughtful tech and sustainability-minded design.

Whether the VF 9 will shift perceptions around what an electric family car can be remains to be seen. But with its full-size model, VinFast has placed a meaningful stake in the ground, signaling not just its presence in the U.S. market, but its understanding of what families truly need on the road ahead.
