YORK, Pa. (September 27, 2026) – Subaru of America, Inc. has unveiled anniversary editions of its 2027 Subaru WRX and 2027 Subaru BRZ sports cars at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania. The limited-production, enthusiast-focused 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 and 2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 take their names from the chassis codes their models carried when they arrived in the US 25 and 15 years ago. Both wear heritage-inspired color schemes and come equipped with performance Subaru accessories.

“Our anniversary edition WRX and BRZ models commemorate the iconic performance heritage and successes of both vehicles in the U.S. The WRX GD25 is a tribute to our rally-ready sedan and its sports car pedigree, including the wing it shares with the ARA Championship-winning ARA25L. Similarly, BRZ ZC15 embodies the best of our long-running, accessible performance sports car, right down to its rear-wheel-drive engagement.”

– William Stokes, Car Line Planning Manager for Subaru of America

2027 Subaru WRX GD25
The 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 honors the first WRX sold in the US, which arrived in 2002 on a chassis code-named “GD.” The GD25 is painted exclusively in World Rally Blue and rides on gold-painted 19″ alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S007 high-performance tires. Behind them are uprated Brembo brakes with gold-painted calipers. At the rear is a dry carbon fiber swan-neck wing from Subaru Tecnica International, the same component used on Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car. Under the hood, a flexible strut tower bar adds rigidity. The performance-tuned suspension pairs stiffer springs with revised damping for more composed, confident cornering.

Power comes from a 271-hp, 2.4-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER® engine driving Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a combination that delivers strong performance with everyday drivability. The GD25 is offered only with a six-speed manual transmission fitted with an STI short shifter.

Inside, the GD25 has performance-design Recaro seats with black Ultrasuede inserts and red accent stitching, along with an STI shift knob. Production is limited to 350 units, and the WRX GD25 arrives in summer 2027.

2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15
The 2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 pays tribute to the first-generation BRZ, which arrived in 2012 on a chassis code-named “ZC.” It is painted in Ceramic White, a color exclusive to the ZC15, and paired with matte bronze wheels, red-painted Brembo calipers, and unique bronze decals near the side sills. The white-and-bronze scheme is a nod to the 2020 Subaru BRZ tS, which wore the same combination. The ZC15 also gets a black decklid spoiler and a flexible V-bar under the hood.

The BRZ ZC15 is powered by a 228-hp, 2.4-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine that drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, the only gearbox offered.

The interior has black leather-appointed upholstery with Bordeaux red inserts not found elsewhere in the BRZ lineup. A “ZC15” anniversary edition plaque sits near the STI aluminum-and-leather short shifter. Production is limited to 300 units, and the BRZ ZC15 will be available in early 2027.

Detailed specifications and pricing will be announced closer to market launch.
