MONTEREY, Calif. (July 31, 2025) – We’re delighted to confirm that the Slate truck has only one scheduled show appearance at Monterey Motorsports Festival on August 16. The event is located at Monterey Fairgrounds – just three miles from Cannery Row – and will feature a wide array of display cars representing every major genre including hypercars, supercars, American muscle, race cars, overland & 4-wheelers, JDM, European and the latest EVs.
The new truck from Slate Auto has been heralded as a significant gamechanger with its radically simple approach to manufacturing and ownership. Not only will the electric truck be extremely affordable, but its flexible architecture will allow owners to skip the equipment they don’t need and focus on accessories they want. It’s even possible to reconfigure the body style from truck to SUV through Fastback, Squareback, and Open Air accessory kits. And it will be made in America!
Visitors keen to check out the Slate truck will be pleased to know that the display vehicle will include a number of accessories, including the Squareback SUV kit, which turns the 2-seat pickup into a 5-seat SUV. Interested parties can check out the Slate Maker for inspiration and to create their own Slate trucks.
Other star automotive attractions at Monterey Motorsports Festival will include New Zealand drifter Mad Mike and his 1000hp MADMAC McLaren P1, the US debut of the Giugiaro-designed Peralta S, as well as James Kirkham from Race Service with his Unimog transporter. On the festival side, platinum-selling DJ Dillon Francis will headline the show in the Arena, accompanied by four live bands playing throughout the night.
