SOLIHULL, U.K. (September 2, 2026) – Range Rover has opened orders for the Range Rover Electric, the brand’s first fully electric production model, with pricing starting at $138,000 in the United States before a $2,450 destination charge. The SUV will be offered in short- and long-wheelbase guises across a broad range of derivatives and is built at Land Rover’s Solihull manufacturing facility alongside the brand’s existing petrol, diesel, and hybrid models.

“This is a Range Rover first, an electric car second,” said Range Rover Managing Director Martin Limpert. “EV is the perfect platform to embody Range Rover. This is therefore a pivotal vehicle for us.”

The Range Rover Electric is powered by a 118.5-kWh double-stacked lithium-ion battery built from 344 individual cells, paired with 800-volt charging architecture that Range Rover says allows a 10-80% charge in 22 minutes on a 350-kW DC fast charger, adding up to 137 miles of range in 10 minutes. Range is rated at up to 372 miles (600 km) on the WLTP cycle, with a US EPA estimate of 333 miles.

Dual electric motors, one at each axle, produce a combined 542 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, sending the Range Rover Electric from 0-60 mph in a claimed 4.3 seconds — quicker than the flagship V8 model’s 4.5-second time. Range Rover says motor speed is individually controlled at each wheel in 50-millisecond intervals to preserve the model’s signature off-road ability, with a single-pedal off-road mode enabling launches on slopes as steep as 33 degrees and rolling climbs up to 45 degrees. The Range Rover Electric retains the same 900mm wading depth as petrol and diesel models, along with standard air suspension and rear-wheel steering. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 2.5 tonnes (5,512 lbs), compared with up to 3.5 tonnes (7,716 lbs) on combustion-powered variants.

Inside, Range Rover has developed active noise cancellation technology the company says makes the cabin up to 7dB quieter than a typical EV, along with a bespoke EV soundscape built around an F-major chord, which can be disabled by the driver. An optional in-car fragrance system offers botanical, fresh, and woody scent options.
