GOODWOOD, U.K. (July 13, 2026) – The Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard wrapped up another standout weekend, bringing together racing legends and an incredible lineup of cars and motorcycles. This year’s theme, “The Rivals — Epic Racing Duels,” spotlighted motorsport’s greatest head-to-head battles and the iconic machines and drivers behind them.

Central Feature
The showpiece sculpture in front of Goodwood House this year honored Singer, the company famous for reimagining the classic Porsche 911. Designed by Gery Judah, the sculpture highlighted the craftsmanship and precision that define Singer’s work. The Duke of Richmond kicked off Thursday morning by riding alongside Singer’s Chief Strategy Officer, Mazen Fawaz, in a 1991 DLS Turbo reimagined by the brand.

Drivers, riders, and teams
One of the weekend’s biggest highlights was a Monster Energy-sponsored meetup between reigning F1 champion Lando Norris and nine-time motorcycle Grand Prix champion Valentino Rossi. Norris drove a 1996 Liberty Walk S13 for a crowd-pulling Balcony Moment on Friday, then returned Saturday behind the wheel of his championship-winning McLaren MCL60, joined by team principal Andrea Stella and Sir Jackie Stewart to celebrate his title.

Other Balcony Moments paid tribute to motorsport icons throughout the weekend. Ducati opened things Thursday as part of its 100th-anniversary celebration, bringing out riders like Troy Bayliss, Josh Brookes, Shane “Shakey” Byrne, Carl Fogarty, Dario Marchetti, Casey Stoner, and current Ducati Superbike riders. Friday belonged to Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness, marking 30 years since his event debut, while Gerhard Berger appeared Saturday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his first F1 win. Sunday closed things out with Damon Hill, back at Goodwood 30 years after his 1996 F1 championship, driving his title-winning Williams FW18.

F1 turned out in force as usual, with Aston Martin Aramco, Atlassian Williams, BWT Alpine, McLaren Mastercard, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, Oracle Red Bull Racing, and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls all present. Drivers on the Hill and in the paddocks included Kimi Antonelli, Pierre Gasly, Isack Hadjar, Arvid Lindblad, Yuki Tsunoda, Fred Vesti, and James Vowles.

FOS Fan Zone
This year introduced the new FOS Fan Zone, presented by Pirelli. Hosted by Ariana Bravo and Jarod DeAnda, the stage ran a full schedule of live Q&As, interviews, and interactive sessions with stars including Kimi Antonelli, Jamie Chadwick, Damon Hill, Freddie and Tom Hunt, Lando Norris, Freddie Sheene, and James Vowles.

Americana
Cathedral Paddock became home to the Bank of America-sponsored Americana Celebration, spotlighting American motorsport and car culture to coincide with the country’s 250th anniversary. The lineup featured legendary cars, motorcycles, and personalities, plus a crowd-favorite family appearance from seven-time Piston Cup champion Lightning McQueen.

Goodwood Road Racing Club of America
The Festival provided the backdrop for announcing the international expansion of the Goodwood Road Racing Club, bringing Goodwood’s signature car culture to the U.S. for the first time with a new California-based membership launching in 2027. More details are available at grrcamerica.com.

Le Mans ’66 reunion
One of the weekend’s most memorable moments was the reunion of the Ford GT Mk IIs that won Le Mans in 1966. Sixty years after Ford’s famous victory over Ferrari, the original cars recreated their iconic formation run up the Hill, honoring one of racing’s greatest rivalries for a new generation of fans.

World debuts
Festival-goers got an early look at new models from major manufacturers, including the Alpine A110 Mule, Aston Martin DB12 S, BMW i3, Cupra Raval, Denza B5, Ferrari Amalfi, GMA T.50S, Honda Super-N, Jaecoo 7 SHS, Lepas L8, Renault 5 Turbo 3E, Toyota GR GT, Zenvo Aurora Tur, and more.

Cartier classics
The Cartier Style et Luxe concours brought together some of the event’s most beautiful and fascinating cars, celebrating design and restoration excellence. Best in Show went to the 1955 Lancia Aurelia Spider in the “Drop it like it’s Haute” class, chosen by judges including Stanley Tucci and David Jonsson.

A look ahead
The Randox-sponsored FOS Future Lab explored cutting-edge innovation across four themes: Unseen Worlds (technology revealing the invisible world around us), Intelligent Systems (robotics, AI, and automation), New Frontiers (breakthroughs expanding human exploration), and Extending Reality (tech that enhances how we perceive the world). The exhibit featured advances in AI-driven healthcare, clean energy, space tech, robotics, quantum computing, and underwater habitats, with hands-on demos from organizations including Formula E, Pulsar Fusion, DEEP, Touchlab, and Sony Europe.

Event charity: Mission 44
This year’s Festival supported Mission 44, the charity founded by Sir Lewis Hamilton dedicated to building a fairer future for young people by tackling systemic inequality and expanding opportunity for underserved communities.

2027 Festival of Speed
