MIAMI (September 22, 2026) – There is a particular kind of silence that settles over Big Sky Country, broad and unhurried, the kind that makes a person feel small in the best possible way. For a few unforgettable days, that silence was interrupted by something far louder: the sound of twenty vintage supercars climbing, carving, and cruising their way across Montana as part of CURATED’s Montana Invitational.

For CURATED, the Miami-based specialist in blue chip European automobiles, the event was a natural extension of the company’s mission. Since 2016, CURATED has built its reputation on pairing the world’s best automobiles with the world’s best collectors, focusing on low-production machines from Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and other storied marques. But owning a great car is only part of the story. The Montana Invitational was about the other part: putting those cars on the kinds of roads they were built for.

From Big Sky to Red Lodge
The route read like a highlight reel of the northern Rockies. The journey took attendees from the alpine setting of Big Sky, through the wonder of Yellowstone, and on to the mountain town of Red Lodge. By the time the convoy finished, it had logged more than 900 miles. The organizers summed it up simply: the landscape was gorgeous, and the roads were even better.

That combination is rare. Many scenic drives offer views but little in the way of engaging tarmac, while many great driving roads run through unremarkable country. Montana delivered both at once, with sweeping valleys, forested passes, and wide-open horizons that gave these decades-old machines room to stretch their legs.

Home base for the group was One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, a luxury mountain retreat that CURATED credited with providing incredible accommodations. After long days behind the wheel, it offered the kind of comfort that turns a road trip into a true invitational.

The poster cars, unleashed
What makes a CURATED event distinct is the cars themselves. The company has become known for handling some of the rarest examples of Ferraris and Lamborghinis ever produced, and its following reflects that reach: a passionate global community of enthusiasts, experts, influencers, and celebrities.

Much of CURATED’s identity centers on what it calls the “poster cars,” the icons that hung on bedroom walls for a generation of future collectors. The company has positioned itself as a guide for that next generation, helping new buyers finally chase down the cars they dreamed about as kids. Seeing twenty of those vintage supercars in formation against a Montana backdrop is, in a sense, the dream fully realized: the poster brought to life, and then driven hard.

Custodians, not just owners
Behind the event’s spirit is co-founder John Temerian, often called the Indiana Jones of car collecting. Temerian’s reputation rests on an obsessive understanding of history, details, and provenance, the things that separate a merely rare car from a truly significant one.

That philosophy shapes how CURATED approaches its clients. The company sees buyers less as owners than as custodians, and it is dedicated to educating and supporting them so they can preserve and celebrate these rare icons. An event like the Montana Invitational fits squarely within that ethos. A car kept under a cover teaches its owner very little; a car driven 900 miles through the mountains, among people who share the same passion, builds understanding, appreciation, and community.

A team effort
An undertaking of this scale takes more than great cars and great roads. CURATED extended its thanks to the attendees who made the journey and to the sponsors who helped bring the event to life. Alec of SK Speed and Time served as the official watch sponsor, a fitting partnership given the shared world of precision, heritage, and collectability that fine watches and classic cars occupy. Collector 1, Touring Design, and Hxecute also lent their support, along with One&Only Moonlight Basin and many others.

The road ahead
For those who took part, the Montana Invitational was, in CURATED’s own words, an absolutely unforgettable experience. For everyone else, the footage offers a glimpse of what collecting can look like at its best: not static, not precious, but alive, loud, and shared.

The roads of Big Sky Country will return to their quiet. But for twenty remarkable machines and the people lucky enough to drive them, Montana will remain a chapter worth retelling.
