STUTTGART, Germany (September 29, 2026) — For years, the Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus) has been one of the most popular retrofit options from Porsche. It combines current infotainment and navigation functions with a design that blends into the interiors of classic Porsche models. Porsche is now expanding the range again: the new generation is available for more than 300,000 future classics from the 911, Cayman, and Boxster model lines from model years 2009 through 2016. Two new model-specific units for the 987.2, 997.2, 981, and 991.1 generations are available now from Porsche Centers.

Integrated with the Vehicle
The new PCCM Plus is built into the vehicle’s architecture. Owners can operate it through its high-resolution 7″ touchscreen or, on cars that came with one, the multifunction steering wheel. Personal vehicle settings are still supported, and navigation directions and music tracks can appear in the instrument cluster.

Features from Current Porsche Sports Cars
The system brings popular display and convenience features from Porsche’s current sports cars to these future classics. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are fully integrated and connect wirelessly via Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi. Android Auto requires a compatible Android smartphone and an active data plan. Where local law allows, the PCCM Plus can play YouTube videos while the car is stationary. Owners can also set the virtual car on the screen to their Porsche’s exterior color, so the unit matches the car visually as well as technically.

The system shows speed limits based on map data, and the trip screen displays oil temperature and oil pressure. In Boxster and Cayman models, it adds an on-screen graphic of the distance to obstacles to the previously audio-only parking aid. Navigation can show satellite imagery, and a Scenic Roads function picks especially winding, panoramic routes.

Connectivity and Audio
Connectivity and audio features include:

  • dual tuners for FM and AM, plus DAB in Europe and HD Radio in North America
  • Bluetooth streaming with song title and artist display
  • connections for existing sound systems
  • internal and external microphones
  • a nano SIM card slot with 4G support
  • inputs for external media sources

Map updates are delivered over the air.

Availability
The new PCCM Plus is available from Porsche Centers worldwide in two model-specific versions. One is for 911, Cayman, and Boxster models from model years 2012 through 2016, the 991.1- and 981-generation cars. The other is for model years 2009 through 2013, the 997.2- and 987.2-generation cars. Available functions depend on the vehicle model and its equipment, and some services require an active internet connection. Porsche recommends having the system installed at a Porsche Center.
