MALVERN, England (September 27, 2026) — Morgan Motor Company has released “The Stranger,” a cinematic short film that places its flagship Supersport at the center of a moody, Western-tinged road story. The film arrives as the first U.S.-specification Supersports reach American customers, following the model’s federal approval earlier this year.
A Chase Told Over the Radio
“The Stranger” opens on the crackle of a police scanner. A dispatcher reports a person last seen near Fremont and tells all units to watch for a red Morgan Supersport. From there, the radio chatter gives way to an original ballad that carries the rest of the film.
The song tells of a lone figure with no name and a scarred past. He drifts from town to town, steps in when danger comes and no one else will, and slips away before dawn. The towns he helps forget him by morning. Sirens follow him, rumors grow around him, and he is gone before anyone can write the story. Throughout, the Supersport is his only constant: a handbuilt British roadster on an open American highway.
The Supersport Comes to America
The film follows Morgan’s July announcement that the Supersport is available to order throughout the United States. The model is homologated under the Replica Vehicle provisions of the FAST Act, which allow Morgan to sell up to 325 qualifying vehicles a year in the U.S. It is sold in every state except California.
U.S.-specification cars use a federally approved BMW 2.0-liter B46 TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic. Every car is built on Morgan’s CXV-Generation bonded-aluminum platform. The Supersport made its North American public debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, during Monterey Car Week in August. It joins the Plus Four and Super 3 in Morgan’s U.S. lineup.
