
TEGERNSEE, Germany (July 30, 2025) – A 2010 Honda CBR 1000RR SC59, built for Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher to use on test days, sold for €64,800 during RM Sotheby’s ‘The Champions – Schumacher and F1 Legends’ sale.
Estimates placed the value at €25,000 – €35,000. The superbike was part of an all-new online-only auction that featured more than 280 pieces of sporting memorabilia from Formula 1 World Champions such as Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, and Lewis Hamilton. All lots were offered entirely without reserve. The varied sale included everything from race-worn helmets and race suits to pieces of bodywork from historic competition cars.
Based on a 2010 Honda CBR, Holzhauer Racing Performance converted this bike from road to race specifications for Michael Schumacher to use during test days. It was a unique and one-off build. Sporting race number “77”, multiple photographs depicted Schumacher riding this Honda. It was accompanied by a Schuberth signed helmet and a signed pair of motorcycle gloves. The bike features an ECU managing the traction control, along with wheelie control, and spin control. HRP fitted special components such as an airbox, oil cooler, handle bars, quick shifter, Akrapovič Titan exhaust system, and much more. The bike was used by Schumacher and owned by HRP. The bike had not been run for a long period of time. The odometer read 3,752 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
