ATLANTA (July 7, 2026) – The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class positions itself as a redefinition of luxury sedans, blending emotional and technical refinement with the brand’s first-ever use of Mercedes-Benz’s new MB.OS operating system. It arrives in 2026, a milestone year marking 140 years of Mercedes-Benz and 105 years of Maybach.

Exterior
The Maybach grille grows 20% larger with illuminated detailing, joined by lit emblems and an optional glowing hood ornament. New forged wheel designs feature a star at the center that stays upright via a ball-bearing mechanism, and a new blue shade joins the dark “Night Series” color lineup.

Interior
The cabin gets new wood finishes, ambient lighting, and materials aimed at deepening Maybach’s signature “cocooning” feel. Comfort touches include soft-closing power doors, reclining rear seats, a chilled compartment, and champagne flutes for rear passengers. Nearly limitless personalization is available through the “MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure” program.

Performance
A revamped V8 with mild-hybrid support delivers 530 hp, while a 621-hp V12 remains available in the U.S. and select markets. A smarter suspension system uses real-time data from other Mercedes vehicles to anticipate road conditions and adjust automatically.

Technology
The latest MBUX system introduces a wraparound “Superscreen,” an AI-powered virtual assistant (tapping ChatGPT, Bing, and Gemini), rear-seat entertainment screens with video-call cameras, and expanded driver-assistance features—with hands-free city driving coming later via software update.

Production
The car is built at Mercedes’ Sindelfingen plant, where customers can design their vehicle at an on-site studio before it’s custom-built in the MANUFAKTUR workshop.
