LOS ANGELES (May 21, 2026) – For the world premiere of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4‑Door Coupe, Mercedes‑AMG transformed the iconic 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles into an “Autobahn.” Beneath a vast LED wall in the characteristic Autobahn blue aesthetics and surrounded by the familiar signs with diagonal stripes on a white background, indicating the end of a speed limit, the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe was unveiled.

The 600 guests on site experienced a dynamic live driving performance with choreographed lighting effects showcasing the vehicle’s capabilities. In an impressive reveal moment against the skyline of Downtown LA, three vehicles sprinted along the specially created Autobahn section toward the sunset, tires smoking.

When the vehicles returned shortly afterwards, none other than Hollywood star Brad Pitt, the new ambassador of the new AMG GT 4‑Door Coupe campaign, and F1 driver George Russell stepped out. Numerous other celebrities watched the thrilling show from the grandstand, including F1 driver Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Macht and select VIP customers. The celebration concluded with an exclusive performance by Blink-182, combining the energy of the brand with a musical highlight.

The world premiere concept captured the essence of the new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupe: sustained high performance, confident agility and a highly emotional V8 experience make the vehicle “Autobahn approved.” As a performance model, the four-door sports car brings intensity, precision and hallmark AMG character to the electric world – an EV for true automotive enthusiasts.

“Such a high performance car as our new Mercedes‑AMG GT 4‑Door Coupe deserves a road without limits. Therefore, for its world premiere, we are bringing the Autobahn to Los Angeles, allowing the vehicle to impressively showcase its immense power and unrelenting endurance to the world.”

Michael Schiebe, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Production, Quality and Supply Chain Management, and Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH

The new sports car embodies the brand’s pioneering spirit and elevates the driving experience to an unprecedented level. Strictly designed for high performance, the 4-Door Coupe is based on the exclusive high performance AMG Electric Architecture (AMG.EA). Three innovative axial flux motors and directly cooled battery cells define a new dimension of performance, which was already demonstrated in 2025 by the spectacular world-record drive of the CONCEPT AMG GT XX in Nardò.
