BARCELONA (August 4, 2026) – Hispano Suiza takes a different approach to automotive technology than most manufacturers chasing more screens and features: its systems are designed to stay in the background, supporting the driver rather than intruding on the experience.
That philosophy is embodied in the Carmen Sagrera, the third hypercar in the Carmen range. Fully electric, it produces 820 kW (1,115 hp) and 1,160 Nm of torque, hitting 0-100 km/h in 2.6 seconds — extreme performance delivered in a refined, progressive way.
At the core is Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics (HSDD), a proprietary system coordinating stability, traction, torque management, and power distribution across driving modes. It includes the Grip Enhancement traction control, Active Yaw Modulation stability control, and an Electronic Torque Stabiliser that applies negative torque to the rear wheels for stability while aiding energy regeneration and range, alongside thermal management for the motors and battery.
What sets HSDD apart is its calibration: developed through extensive circuit and road testing led by former F1 driver Luis Pérez-Sala, it intervenes only when necessary, preserving a natural, unfiltered feel. “The Hispano Suiza Driver Dynamics system coordinates every intervention so that it acts only when necessary, in a precise, natural way that is entirely consistent with the character of the vehicle,” says CTO Juan Fernández.
Processing over 200 million instructions per second and drawing from more than 100 sensors — tracking everything from steering input and wheel speed to chassis yaw, battery status, and altitude — the system manages power delivery and dynamic behavior in real time, anticipating needs before intervention becomes noticeable.
The result reinterprets the “Gentleman Driver” ideal for the electric era: technology invisible enough that power feels like precision, control feels like confidence, and the connection between driver and machine remains front and center.
