TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (September 24, 2026) — Hagerty today debuted the “RADwood Build Challenge,” a new YouTube series following three builders as they customize some of the raddest rides of the 1980s and ’90s. The first episode is now live on Hagerty’s YouTube channel. The series builds toward an in-person finale at RADwood NorCal on October 24, where attendees will vote for the winning build. The winner will receive a $50,000 prize and direct a $50,000 donation to a partner charity of their choice.

The Builds and Builders
Three well-known builders and creators are taking on the challenge, each with a very different machine:

Mike Burroughs is building a 1989 Lotus Esprit Turbo.

Vin Anatra is building a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado Dually.

Larry Chen is building a 1996 Honda Accord Si-R.

The Finale
The Build Challenge will culminate live at RADwood NorCal on October 24, where attendees will cast the votes that decide the fan-favorite build and the charity donation that follows. Tickets to RADwood NorCal are free with registration and can be reserved at RADwood.com.

Charity
The builder whose project is voted most rad will direct a $50,000 donation to one of three partner charities: Folds of Honor, the RPM Foundation, or McPherson College. The result turns audience engagement into real support for causes tied to military families, the preservation of motorsports history, and automotive restoration education.

Tickets
Free tickets to the October 24 finale at RADwood NorCal are available now at RADwood.com.
