GOODWOOD, U.K. (July 9, 2026) – Goodwood is bringing its Road Racing Club (GRRC) to the US for the first time, launching a California-based membership in 2027. Announced at the Festival of Speed, the move kicks off Goodwood’s American expansion and adapts the nearly 30-year-old UK club’s model — events, experiences, and community for car enthusiasts — for a US audience.
The GRRC of America will center on participation: track days, driving tours, private visits, and social gatherings across California and Nevada, with the first event at Willow Springs in 2028, plus a flagship California event each year and reciprocal access to UK Goodwood events. It’s open to all makes and types of cars, aiming to build a genuine community rather than cater to any one niche.
The launch leans on Goodwood’s long US ties — dating back to the 3rd Duke of Richmond’s support for American independence — and coincides with the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Three motorsport legends, Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, and Richard Petty, are serving as founding patrons.
