STUTTGART/LUGANO (July 16, 2026) – A Swiss customer already owns three all-electric sports sedans from Zuffenhausen. As a dedicated fan of electric performance, he knew immediately that Porsche’s new flagship, the Taycan Turbo GT, would be his next car. What makes this example special is its design: working with Porsche Center Lugano and the Sonderwunsch personalization team, the customer transformed the most powerful Taycan ever built into a car that pushes EV customization to a whole new level.

In total, the Sonderwunsch build included roughly 30 custom details, more than half of which were entirely new developments being used for the first time on this car.

The customer came to the Sonderwunsch team with a clear vision and a design rendering of his dream car. The concept was inspired by the shifting light over Lake Lugano, where the water glows in warm shades of orange and gold at sunrise and sunset — a scene that holds deep personal meaning for him. Together, the team worked through a range of design ideas to translate that feeling into both the car’s exterior and interior. The process included three in-person meetings at Porsche’s Zuffenhausen headquarters along with numerous consultations, ultimately producing a Taycan Turbo GT that blends sporty performance with classic elegance.

Exterior: classic elegance in Nordic Gold Metallic
The customization starts with Nordic Gold Metallic paint from the Paint to Sample program. This warm yellow-orange-red hue evokes pure gold and echoes the Metallic Gold color Porsche first used on the 911 and 914 in the early 1970s, later revived in the late 2000s on the 997-generation 911, the 987-generation Boxster and Cayman, and the Cayenne GTS.

Subtle contrasts add extra highlights: a Turbonite Porsche crest sits on the front trunk lid, while the upper portion of the side mirror housings, the B-pillars, and the Gurney flap on the adaptive rear spoiler are finished in high-gloss black. The trim on the front fascia and side skirts is done in satin Neodyme, a color also used on the outer rim of the 21-inch Turbo GT forged wheels. The wheels themselves are finished in satin black, with black valve caps and balance weights, plus center caps featuring the Porsche crest in Turbonite.

Interior: houndstooth, premium materials, and careful detailing
Inside, the Taycan Turbo GT carries the same level of commitment to its color and material scheme. The seats stand out immediately, with center panels upholstered in black and slate gray houndstooth fabric, bordered by fine pebble gray leather and black Race-Tex on the bolsters and headrests. Decorative stitching in crayon, along with piping and embroidered “Turbo GT” lettering in Mojave beige, add refined touches. The dashboard and door panels follow the same pebble gray and black scheme with matching crayon and Mojave beige stitching. Even the storage compartment lid reflects the attention to detail, with a Sonderwunsch logo embossed into the pebble gray leather.

Numerous interior components are finished in Neodyme, including the gear selector, air vents, cupholder trim, and door handles, with the cupholder trim carrying a Sonderwunsch badge. The custom GT sport steering wheel, wrapped in Race-Tex, features a Mojave beige 12 o’clock marker. The airbag cover is leather-wrapped and framed by a Neodyme ring, while carbon fiber trim with exposed screws on the steering wheel’s center spokes rounds out the look.

The Sport Chrono clock on the dashboard mirrors the exterior color, with its housing and inner ring finished in Nordic Gold Metallic. The door sills feature orange backlit “Turbo GT” lettering. Rounding out the interior are Atacama beige seatbelts, custom floor mats, a handcrafted documentation folder, and a body-color key with matching key case.

About the Taycan Turbo GT
With a short-term peak output of up to 1,108 hp (815 kW), the Taycan Turbo GT is the most powerful production model in the lineup. It uses a highly efficient silicon carbide pulse inverter on the rear axle.

Through intelligent lightweight engineering, including several carbon fiber components, Porsche cut up to 165 pounds compared to the Taycan Turbo S. The Porsche Active Ride suspension, tuned specifically for the GT, comes standard and delivers balanced wheel load distribution for an exceptionally connected feel even in aggressive driving.
