RENNtech Teases the SEC V12 Widebody Sledgehammer

STUART, Fla. (February 11, 2026) – RENNtech has stood at the forefront of Mercedes-Benz aftermarket innovation since former AMG engineer Hartmut Feyhl founded it 1989. As it happens, this was during what many consider to be peak-Mercedes-Benz, the W126/C126-body S-Class, combined with the celebrated pre-merger AMG era. Perhaps the most brutish product of that collaboration was the AMG Hammer 6.0 from 1986. The Hammer featured a balanced and blueprinted 5.5-liter M117 V8, outfitted with AMG’s own better-breathing head to produce an exceptional-for-the-day 355 hp and 388 lb-ft of torque, along with a set of shorter, stiffer springs and slightly pruned inner fender lips to provide clearance for 8 x 17″ alloy wheels.
