MOLSHEIM (July 16, 2026) – A new W16 Mistral has rolled out of Bugatti’s Molsheim factory, marking the end of production for the open-top roadster. Finished in a two-tone “Pearl” and “Sparkle” livery, this final example features “The last of its kind” inscribed inside the cabin as a tribute to the legendary W16 engine.

The milestone comes just days after Bugatti opened “La Manufacture,” its new facility in Molsheim dedicated to producing the upcoming Tourbillon. The Mistral’s conclusion wraps up a historic run that began with its 2022 debut and was highlighted by a record-breaking 282 mph run in late 2024, making it the world’s fastest open-top production car.

This final, highly customized “Sur Mesure” commission is packed with bespoke details. It pays tribute to founder Ettore Bugatti with his signature stitched into the headrests, rendered in aluminum on the door sills, and featured on the engine cover. An armrest plate made of frozen crystal glass titled “Spirit of the Wind” honors Bugatti’s historic relationship with René Lalique. Additionally, the car incorporates Middle Eastern design cues created with Bugatti Riyadh, including a custom falcon head atop the gear shifter and embroidered falcon sketches on the door panels. With this final car delivered, production of the W16 Mistral officially wraps up at 99 units.
