WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. (August 14, 2026) – BMW arrives at Monterey Car Week 2026 with a full slate of debuts, heritage celebrations, motorsport appearances, and design-led programming across the Monterey Peninsula. From the North American introductions of two visionary concept vehicles to a celebration of 40 years of the BMW M3 and the latest chapter in BMW’s collaboration with fashion and lifestyle brand Kith, BMW will showcase the breadth of its performance, luxury, and design leadership throughout one of the world’s most important automotive gatherings.

Thursday opened at Legends of the Autobahn in Pacific Grove with an M3 heritage display spanning the E30, E36 Lightweight, E46, E92 Lime Rock Park prototype, F82 M4 GTS, and the new G80 M3 CS Handschalter. That evening, BMW gave the fully electric M Concept Neue Klasse its North American debut at the House of M in Monterey, previewing BMW M’s future design language and a quad-motor “Heart of Joy” control system.

Friday brings the North American debut of the Vision BMW ALPINA at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering, a design study reinterpreting ALPINA’s signature cues with a coupe roofline, shark nose, and a craftsmanship-focused interior using Alpine leather and watchmaking-inspired metalwork.

Saturday continues the M3 anniversary theme at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca, where four generations of M3 race cars take to the track: the 1992 E30 M3 DTM, the 1997 E36 M3 GT2 (Daytona and Sebring class winner), the 2004 E46 M3 GTR (Grand-Am champion), and the 2011 E92 M3 GT (ALMS champion). That evening features an invitation-only panel with Kith founder Ronnie Fieg unveiling bespoke BMW/Kith cars and previewing the 2026 Kith for BMW apparel collection.

The week wraps Sunday at the 75th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where both the M Concept Neue Klasse and Vision BMW ALPINA appear on the Concept Lawn.

Separately, BMW detailed the M3’s six generations, from the homologation-special 1985 E30 (192 hp, 4-cylinder) through the US-only 3.2-liter E36, the 333-hp E46, the V8-powered E9x, the turbocharged F8x (including the 493-hp M4 GTS), and the current G8x generation, closing with the limited 2027 M3 CS Handschalter: a 473-hp manual, rear-drive-only special starting at $107,100 plus destination, with deliveries beginning this fall.
