SANT’AGATA BOLOGNESE (September 4, 2026) – Automobili Lamborghini presented the new Temerario designed for the Italian State Police at its Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters. Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann and the company’s board of directors welcomed Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi to the unveiling.
The ceremony was also attended by Prefect Renato Cortese, central director of traffic, railway, and special units for the Italian State Police, who represented Chief of Police and Director General of Public Security Prefect Vittorio Pisani.
The supercar will be used for critical missions, including the emergency transport of organs and medical supplies, joining the other Lamborghini vehicles currently serving in the Italian State Police fleet.
With this new model, Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian State Police are renewing a partnership that began in 2004 with the original Gallardo, which completed its first organ transport mission in September of that year. The relationship expanded over the years with the Gallardo LP 560-4 and the Huracán—both deployed along the country’s major highways—as well as the Urus Performante, which entered service in 2023.
Over the past two decades, six vehicles have joined the Italian State Police fleet, completing more than 200 organ transport missions across Italy. The Lamborghini police fleet has helped save lives and participated in over 1,500 traffic safety education events to promote safe driving.
The addition of the Temerario takes the partnership between the automaker and law enforcement into a new era. The vehicle features an all-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine paired with three electric motors to generate a total output of 920 horsepower (920 CV), setting a new benchmark for Lamborghini technology. The Temerario delivers a combination of performance and efficiency that allows police to accomplish sensitive missions as quickly as possible.
During the event, the Italian State Police Institutional Communications Office also introduced the book “I motori della Polizia” (published by Giunti Editore and Giorgio Nada Editore), which details the historical cars, motorcycles, and specialized vehicles that have supported Italian law enforcement over the decades.
The new Temerario Polizia marks a collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian State Police that pairs technological excellence with community service, placing the brand’s performance and innovation at the service of protecting citizens.
