MONTEREY, Calif. (August 14, 2026) – Aston Martin has unveiled Valen, calling it the most powerful front-engined car from any manufacturer and the most powerful front-engined V12 in the company’s 113-year history. It’s the latest limited-run special from Q by Aston Martin’s bespoke program, built by the brand’s new Special Vehicle Operations department, and named from the Latin “valens” (strong/powerful), continuing Aston’s “V” naming tradition for these specials.

Under the carbon-fiber body sits the most powerful version yet of Aston’s 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12, making 850PS and 1,000Nm of torque from just 2,500rpm, paired with a sharper-shifting 8-speed ZF gearbox using shift logic from the Vantage GT4 race program. That combination gets Valen to 60mph in a targeted 3.0 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 214mph. The car also sheds up to 110kg versus the core V12 platform through extensive use of carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium, including an optional lightweight pack that alone saves 16.9kg.

Chassis-wise, Valen gets Sport, Sport+, and Track drive modes with mode-specific throttle mapping, a solid-mounted rear subframe, model-specific springs and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers, tuned steering, and 410mm front/360mm rear carbon-ceramic brakes. It rides on new lightweight magnesium wheels with bespoke Pirelli P Zero R (and available Winter 2) tires featuring Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre real-time data system, developed with Bosch to continuously adapt ESP, ABS, and traction control. A new lightweight titanium quad-exhaust system, tuned for a more aggressive, higher-pitched soundtrack, rounds out the performance story.

Design-wise, Valen is described by design chief Marek Reichman as a “significant departure” for Aston, with a sharper, more aggressive front end, functional side vents replacing the traditional strake, a solid tailgate replacing the rear window/trunk lid combo (opening to a 170-liter trunk with an optional bespoke luggage set), and a large rear light bar doubling as a Gurney flap for downforce without a motorsport-style wing. The show car wears a color-shifting Satin Andromeda Red finish, and buyers can also opt for exposed carbon-fiber bodywork with custom tinting. Inside, the cabin emphasizes lightness with a slim 3D-printed center console borrowed in part from the Valhalla, a tiered trim/upholstery system, and a choice of Sports Plus or lightweight carbon-fiber seats.
