TURIN, Italy (September 28, 2026) — Alfa Romeo today unveiled one of the most distinctive commissions yet from the customization program for the new 33 Stradale, presenting it at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese. The supercar is produced in a strictly limited run of 33 units and inspired by the legendary 1967 33 Stradale. This example has been named “Perla Nera®” (Black Pearl), a name chosen and registered by its owner. It reflects the car’s full-black identity, which comes from the expressive power and material richness of exposed carbon fiber.

The car was conceived and developed around the vision of its owner, a passionate collector and deep connoisseur of the automotive world, through a continuous dialogue with the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile. The result is a bold and instantly recognizable character, both outside and in.

A Body Designed in Carbon Fiber
Perla Nera is the only completely black 33 Stradale in the series. On this car, matte-finish carbon fiber is not merely a technical material but an integral part of the design language. The carbon fibers are laid out to work with the car’s flowing Alfa Romeo lines, emphasizing its symmetry and volumes while accentuating the dynamism of the design and the muscularity of its curves. On the hood, the weave traces the characteristic V-shaped motif, and a herringbone pattern runs as a recurring graphic element from front to rear across the roofline.

Achieving this effect required a dedicated production process that combines technological innovation with Italian craftsmanship. The carbon fiber was laid by hand in the mold, with each fiber placed precisely to follow the contours of the surfaces and bring out their shapes and volumes. The same care carried through every later stage, from rigorous quality inspections to final assembly. The layup design and all related technical decisions were shared step by step with the owner.

Two unique features complete the monochrome look: exclusive all-black wheels, and no exterior badges apart from the Alfa Romeo emblems. Leaving the badges off preserves the continuity of the surfaces and lets the carbon-fiber weave take center stage.

A Bespoke Interior
Inside, carbon-fiber elements and full Alcantara upholstery create a sophisticated, immersive cabin defined by subtle tone-on-tone contrasts. Every detail was developed to the owner’s aesthetic preferences. The sport seat was extensively redesigned to meet specific comfort and performance requirements, and it was shaped around the owner’s build through dedicated fitting sessions and consultations.

This tailoring went beyond ergonomics and dimensions to include a reinterpretation of Alfa Romeo’s signature “cannelloni” seat pattern, which is repeated on the door panels and side sills for consistency throughout the cabin. The headrest was reshaped to improve its contact surface and now carries a carbon-fiber insert bearing the Perla Nera name. The name appears in several other places inside the car:

  • on the door panel, engraved on a dedicated plaque with Alfa Romeo lettering
  • inside the storage compartment, where the plaque has been moved to the rear wall on a purpose-designed bracket

The luggage set, upholstered entirely in black Alcantara, carries the car’s production number, and the Alfa rotary selector is personalized with the owner’s initials. The Quadrifoglio and Autodelta symbols, visible only from inside the car, quietly underscore its connection to Alfa Romeo’s racing heritage.

Performance
The 33 Stradale is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing more than 630 hp, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. It reaches a top speed of 207 mph and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds. An aluminum H-frame chassis and a carbon-fiber monocoque provide exceptional lightness and rigidity.

Bottega Alfa Romeo
The 33 Stradale is the first project developed by Bottega Alfa Romeo. Bottega Alfa Romeo is part of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, the center of excellence for the most exclusive Alfa Romeo and Maserati creations, where tradition, innovation, and Italian craftsmanship come together to produce highly personalized, one-of-a-kind automobiles. In that context, Perla Nera is more than one of the 33 Stradales built. It is a one-of-a-kind car, never to be repeated, that goes beyond customization into automotive art.

“Perla Nera® is the perfect demonstration of what happens when a customer’s vision meets the passion and expertise of Bottega. Every detail of this 33 Stradale was developed together with its owner, through an ongoing dialogue that led to the creation of a truly unique example. For us, having the opportunity to deliver projects of this caliber is an extraordinary privilege, as it allows us to fully express our ability to create genuinely bespoke automobiles. Perla Nera® perfectly embodies Bottega’s ambition: transforming a customer’s desire into something exclusive and unrepeatable. It is also tangible proof of how BOTTEGAFUORISERIE has become a unique and distinctive reality within the Stellantis Group.”
