AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (July 27, 2026) – The 2027 Ram Heavy Duty lineup introduces significant performance, capability, and package updates starting in August 2026. Most notably, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon is available for the first time with the 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output turbo-diesel engine, while the HEMI V8 version reintroduces beadlock-capable wheels. Additionally, Ram is introducing its first pursuit-capable 3/4-ton truck for fleet customers, the Ram 2500 Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV).

Payload and capability see notable upgrades across the lineup. A new $835 Payload Upgrade Package for select Ram 2500 models equipped with the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 utilizes 3500-grade frame and leaf-spring components to raise GVWR to 11,040 lbs and deliver a best-in-class payload capacity of 4,580 lbs. Select Ram 3500 SRW models with the HEMI V8 also gain a 400 lb increase in GVWR and payload capacity over previous model years.

Further cosmetic and option changes include a new “Symbol of Protest V8” fender badge on HEMI models, broader availability of the Sport Appearance and Night Edition packages across equipment levels, and newly standalone options such as the Warn electric winch, sport performance hood, and anti-spin rear differential. Laramie trims gain expanded RamBox availability alongside optional body-color fender flares, with Serrano Green Metallic and Tank Clear-Coat joining the exterior color palette.
